Shane Egan, a PGCE Design and Technology student at Edge Hill University, came top in the Architecture & Engineering category for the design Newtownsmith Galway

Kofi O-Ansah, a BA (Hons) Animation Production student at Ravensbourne, came top in the Entertainment Creation category for the design Retro Come-Back

Silvio Lavandeira, studying for a Bsc (Hons) Computer Aided Design at London South Bank University, won in the category Industrial Design for his design StEx Watches

Konstantinos Dimakos, studying Mechanical Systems & Engineering at Newcastle University, won in the Mechanical Engineering category for the design Car Suspension with Drive System

Autodesk Design Guru Winner

The overall winner chosen to be Autodesk Design Guru for 2011 is Sameera Weeratunga, who is studying an Engineering Materials MSc at the University of Manchester. Sameera’s design, Manufacturing of a rubber mat, impressed the judges with the level of technical ability shown. Sameera is now the proud owner of an iPad 2 Wi-Fi and 3G 64GB.
